All over the world, cancer represents a major issue for public health. In Romania, it is the second cause of death, after cardiovascular diseases. The diagnosis of cancer, unlike in developed countries, is done in the advanced and not in the early stages, and that is why Romania is the first among European countries when it comes to death by cancer. The frequency of cancer cases has increased in children and it is expected to do the same in all categories of age.
